About the photograph - Custom House at Sunrise

I'm sorry to say that Dublin is probably my least explored location (with the camera that is!). Probably because I live there.

On this occasion I knew the weather was going to be good, so it was up early to  capture Ireland's capital city in the morning light. I wasn't really looking for a typical sunrise photograph of shooting into the sun, but instead wanted to shoot with the sun at my back and see how things looked in the sunrise.

I liked this location as I was able to include a number of Dublin's iconic landmarks together, namely Liberty Hall, Custom House, and the Monument of Light (The Spire). OK, Liberty Hall (one of Dublin's skyscraper) isn't to everyone's liking, but the golden sunrise reflecting off its glass completely transformed the building and the scene. I do like how the photograph turned out.
