About the photograph - Dooey Beach Waves

It is wonderful to get a different perspective on things, to see subjects in a way that is different from the norm and not easily or immediately identifiable. Flying the drone allows me the privilege to explore and see things from alternative perspectives. In some cases I really like what I find. In this above view photograph of Atlantic waves coming ashore in Donegal, and I remember being mesmorised by them.
From this perspective the scene took on very different colours than when observed from the beach. Their width produced interesting horizontal patterns across the entire frame while the shadows from the crests provide an almost 3D quality to the photograph.
This above perspective allows us to see the life story of a wave in a single image as they move from top to bottom towards their end on the beach.
