About the photograph - Pollacappul Lough, Connemara

Pollacappul Lough in Connemara is one of the more rarely seen locations in Connemara. The reason is simple, directly behind this photograph is Kylemore Abbey and as people pass by this location they tend to look at the Abbey side of the lake rather than this side.
For me, this photograph kind of sums up Connemara with its lakes, mountains, and rugged greenery. It also serves as a reminder to look at all of your surroundings not just the main attraction. Because if you don't, you might miss something wonderful.
What I liked about this scene is the reeds that provide a meandering path to the mountain which in turn leads to the 12 Bens in the distance.
