About

In an increasingly connected world we are more disconnected than ever. My work supports the human desire for connection to the natural world—an instinctive pull often described as biophilia. Rooted in the landscapes of Ireland, my photography moves between representation and abstraction, seeking not only to depict nature, but also to reinterpret how it is seen and felt.
Alongside representational landscape work, I use my camera as a tool to reimagine nature through abstraction. A horizon may dissolve into pure colour, and a shoreline may resemble a brushstroke, echoing the language of a painting as much as a photograph. These images are both real and re-imagined, where place becomes both a location and a feeling.
Through the use of perspective, colour, pattern, and movement, I create work that encourages a slower, more engaged way of looking. The intention is not immediate impact, but sustained participation—an experience that unfolds over time.
Each piece exists as a space where perception and emotion meet. In this way, my work is less about documenting the natural world, and more about reconnecting with it—quietly, intuitively, and on a personal level.
Cheers
