About the photograph - Twilight Arranmore

Every time I visit Donegal, I take a trip to Crohy Head, as there are so many beautiful views of the Irish landscape and seascape from this one peninsula. I had been exploring the area for a number of hours and thanks to the weather conditions I had some wonderful photograph and had witnessed a beautiful sunset. But I wasn't finished with my visit just yet. I had learned very quickly in my career that the best colour can happen after sunset, during twilight. And on this visit my patience was rewarded.
As I looked across the sea towards Arranmore Island, I was met with an incredible spectrum of pastel colours. The scene was too dark to get much detail from either the sea or the land, so I chose to use intentional camera movement (icm) to convey the wonderful colours of the scene rather than try to capture any of the hidden detail. I am very happy with the result.
