About the photograph

On a good day there is something magical about what we photographers refer to as Golden Hour. That time before sunset when the sun is low on the horizon and everything is bathed in a beautiful golden light.
And so it was on a recent trip to Connemara where I was staying close to the town of Cleggan. It was such a wonderful evening that I headed to the beach to assess the light and possibly photograph the bay and Cleggan harbour.  When I arrived, I remember it being unusually calm for that time of day, with the water hardly having a ripple in it. As the sun got lower to the horizon the intensity of golden colour increased so much that it was as if everything was gold, the sky, the beach, and even the sea.

For this particular image, I knew I didn't want details, I wanted to try to capture the sheer intensity of gold colour that was all around me. So used icm to remove the detail and make the scene all about the colour that surrounded me. I really like the end result and I hope you do too.

A3: 11.7 x 16.5 inches (30 x 42cm). Limited to 35 prints

A1: 23.4 x 33.1 inches (59 x 84cm). Limited to 10 prints

Size refers to the overall size of the print including the border.

As editions run out, I reserve the right to increase prices and offer larger sizes.

Prints and printing

All my limited edition fine art prints are printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® fine art paper using the finest quality digital pigment inks to produce a print that is museum quality for the highest possible age resistance that won’t degrade or fade over time.

Frames and glass

My limited edition frames are made using FSC®-certified acid free natural wood that match the archival properties of the print and come complete with premium anti-reflective Art Glass offering nearly invisible, glare-free viewing while providing UV protection.

Care

Care is always recommend when handling a fine art print as the photographic paper can be sensitive to touch.

Shipping

Your limited editions fine art print is produced to order to ensure that you are getting the best quality work to place on your wall. Time from order to delivery is usually 6-10 days (Best effort). More detailed shipping information is available here (opens in a new browser window).

If your fine art print has a defect or other issue, I am happy to either resend the print or refund the cost of your order.
